Journey to the summit of Mount Haleakala - Hawai'i's House of the Sun! This tour will take you to Maui's famous dormant volcano, the spectacular House of the Sun, Mount Haleakala Crater. Travel through bucolic Upcountry Kula Area to the 10, 043' summit at Haleakala National Park, the Visitor Center and Pu`u Ula`ula Overlook. You will see the unique protea blossoms (in season) and rare silverswords plants. Some of the highlights you will encounter are unique species of birds, such at the Hawaii State bird, the Nene goose, the town of Wailuku, sugar cane fields and Ka`ahumanu Church. Another feature on this tour is the scenic drive to soaring ` Iao Valley State Park.You will learn the history and legends that make this island magical.
